Step Up?

Perhaps you are familiar with the words, ‘You can’t teach what you do not know; you can’t lead where you do not go’. This conference is for leaders wanting to step up their commitment to enabling their churches to reach out more effectively in mission, both in their immediate locality and further afield. It will help us to understand the present and developing culture and bring practical lessons from people and churches involved in fruitful mission.

Speakers

We are delighted to have three main speakers with us who complement each other wonderfully. Vineyard pastor Carl Medearis came to our summer conference in 2006 and shared many stories of leading people to faith in both the USA and Lebanon. I’m sure he will encourage and inspire us all. Ugandan Archbishop Henry Orombi, a key leader in the Anglican Church, is committed to seeing the church acting missionally both locally and nationally. Patrick Dixon is an influential futurist and business thinker, actively involved in a Pioneer church. He will help us to understand the urgency of mission in a changing culture.

Seminars

These speakers will be complemented by many others in a programme of more intimate small-scale seminars. All seminar leaders will be experienced practitioners and involved in mission as Jesus modelled it: in the power of the Spirit, with words, works and signs and wonders following.

Secure the future

This year we want to help younger leaders learn and grow with us. To make this possible we are offering a significant discount to leaders of 30 years of age and under. We would like every older leader to bring at least one younger leader to the conference: to help them step up to God’s call on their lives. If we want to secure the future let’s do it now.

Schedule

The conference starts at 2pm on 5 May and ends at 4pm on 7 May.

A limited number of day and evening tickets are available. Please email info@new-wine.org to request a booking form.
