Early Morning Bible Studies
No Fear – John 20:19-23
Pat Allerton
All of us have fears. Too often they hold us back. But what would a life without fear look like, and how do we take that step? How do we move from being fearful children in a fear-filled world, to becoming fearless warriors in the kingdom of God? This session will explore the journey of the disciples, as they moved from being fearful disciples to fearless apostles, all from encountering Jesus.
What’s Your Sound? – Acts 2:1-14
Pat Allerton
We're back with the disciples again. But this time they're in a very different head-space. This time they're ready for battle. You want to impact your generation for Christ? You want to move in greater power? Then come and learn what the very ‘first’ Retreat to Advance weekend looked like. Come and see how a bunch of fearful misfits became Kingdom revolutionaries who turned an empire on its head.
Seminars
Hot to Trot
Ben and Hannelle Jones
Singleness, dating and relationships can be sticky. Thankfully, they can also be amazing. This seminar highlights some of the ambiguities in this area and crucially talks about how, with God, we can take this journey without having to rely on pointless formulas and clichés. We’ll start with our primary relationship with God, look at what the Bible says, and fumble our way through singleness, dating and marriage.
Becoming Culture Shapers
Hannah Bailey
God has a specific calling for each of us. However, too often we wait for the perfect conditions to start stepping into what God is calling us to. Our generation needs passionate people who will step out and into what it is God has called them to and to be distinctive in their environments. What would it look like if we allowed the kingdom of God inside us to start shaping the culture around us?
How can I be the best leader God has called me to be?
Duncan Akehurst
We're all called to make disciples (not just badge-wearing Christians) regardless of our age, profession, life-stage, gifting, background etc. – which means we're all called to lead and influence others towards Jesus wherever we find ourselves. This session will look at some of the practical ways we can become godly, effective leaders and disciple-makers who lead with integrity and intentionality.

Testimonies:
"God gave me a new confidence that I will be able to do what he has called me to do this year, because he will be with me and will equip me for the task. I came feeling pretty anxious about it but left feeling much more confident. I felt a sense of dissatisfaction of the level of my faith, and the parameters within which I live my Christian life - if it is true and worth living for, then I want to give my all to it and not be happy with just my current experience of God, church and worship... there must be more than this. God revealed to me something more of how much he loves me personally. The speaker helpfully shared that, 'I don't perform to be loved, I perform because I am loved,' which resonated with me. I felt the prayer at the end for the prophets, teachers and apostles was really affirming and it was good to be able to pray for each other in that way before we went home."
"I went by myself and it was the most incredible weekend of my life. God pursued me in every meeting. The worship was anointed, the speakers a perfect balance of challenge and fun, and the prayer ministry was powerful and exactly what I needed. It was also an amazing setting. I have come home feeling massively blessed and want to return with a big group of people."
"I have been having an interesting time of it lately, and the conference really helped me to refocus - the number of words that seemed to be directed at me through the talks led me to revaluate how I had been using my time and confirmed a number of challenges I felt God had been confronting me with."
"I feel truly honoured to have attended the event. It was an amazing worship and I really felt God's presence and feel energised to focus building up my understanding and focus on God's wisdom, to listen more and make time to carry out God's work."
