Team Rector

Are you Spirit filled with a good sense of humour ? The Bishop of Croydon seeks to appoint a Team Rector with the pastoral and leadership gifts to lead the churches in the growing town of Horley, on the Surrey/Sussex border. . There are three distinct churches in terms of congregations and worship styles and whilst all place Word central to worship the styles range from traditional liturgical and evangelical to charismatic. They are looking for a person with varied interests and a good sense of humour, who is adventurous and wants to be challenged and will have a desire to increase the role of the church in the community, have a heart for the lost and a desire to serve, sharing the good news with compassion. The new Team Rector will • be someone who can lead a vision for the churches and for the town as Horley grows and church schooling is developed • be a person of strong personal faith with a commitment to his/her prayer life that inspires others to meet with God; • be inspired by and be inspiring to others through Bible based teaching and preaching • have the experience and ability to encourage and develop the variety of worship styles in the parish whilst helping us to grow together as a team.
