New Wine - Local churches changing nations

Our Leadership Team

Meet-the-team_JohnAnneJohn and Anne Coles took over the leadership of New Wine from David and Mary Pytches in 2001. They are based at St Barnabas in Finchley, north London. They led the church for 20 years, seeing it develop from small beginnings into a vibrant multi-cultural church. John is now associate minister and Anne is the ministry pastor, having been the worship leader through the transition from choir-led to contemporary band-led worship. Anne also has overall responsibility for developing New Wine’s women’s conferences.

Meet-the-team_MarkAMark Aldridge has been the Overseer of New Wine International Networks since the beginning of 2010, having partnered Bruce Collins in the leadership of this work since 2008. He is also the Minister in Charge of Oak Tree Anglican Fellowship in West London.

Meet-the-team_MarkKarenMark and Karen Bailey have lived in Cheltenham for the past 14 years, where Mark is lead pastor at Trinity Church. Together they have been privileged to see a significant move of the Spirit, leading to substantial church growth. Trinity is a multi-congregational church, which seeks to live out the adventure of Christian mission, both in its local community and beyond. Together they are the New Wine Central and South West Regional Leaders.

Meet-the-team_BruceBruce Collins is a member of the New Wine leadership team as a prophetic pioneer. He is also on the International Support Group, having pioneered and overseen the development of the overseas work until February 2010. Additionally he co-leads the work in New Wine Cymru (Wales). For 12 years he was the team rector of the Roxeth team ministry in Harrow. Now based in Wales, he works full-time for New Wine. Born in South Africa, he has lived in the UK since 1978. He was ordained in 1983, having worked as a chemical engineer for 10 years, and as a marketing manager.

Meet-the-team_MarkLindMark and Lindsay Melluish live in Ealing, West London, where Mark is vicar of St Paul’s, a renewed Anglican church. St Paul's has grown significantly and Mark has had the privilege of speaking both at home and abroad about his experience of church growth. Lindsay has her own ministry to women and families. Together they are the New Wine London & South East Regional Leaders.

Meet-the-team_IanNadIan and Nadine Parkinson are the New Wine North & East Regional Leaders. They have worked in churches in the north of England for over 25 years, and live in Marple, Stockport, where Ian is vicar of All Saints'. Nadine works full time developing ministry in the church and planning for New Wine North and East.

Meet-the-team_ChrisPChris Pemberton is the Training Director for the New Wine Training Partnership. From 1998 to May 2009 he was the vicar of St Mary Bredin in Canterbury. He has a background in marketing and worked for Dunlop Holdings in London before ordination in 1984. Before moving to Canterbury he was involved in local church leadership at St Luke’s in Maidstone (Kent), then St Aldate’s in Oxford, where he worked as a chaplain in the University and taught part-time at Wycliffe Hall.

Meet-the-team_DavidMaryDavid and Mary Pytches started New Wine in 1989 while David was vicar of St Andrew’s, Chorleywood (1977-96). Married in 1958, David and Mary went as missionaries to Chile in 1959 to plant churches. They experienced renewal in 1969 and David became the Bishop of the Dioceses of Chile, Bolivia and Peru. Returning to the UK they were radically impacted by John Wimber, who visited them at Pentecost in 1981. New Wine gave birth to Soul Survivor led by Mike Pilavachi, who started it when he was the youth worker at St Andrew’s. The Pytches still minister around the world: David speaks and writes on renewal and leadership issues, while Mary is also a popular speaker and author on issues of personal development.
