Finland
11-15 July 2007

The conference in Finland took place in the recreational centre of Himos in the middle of the country. We gathered about 1,000 people from babies to grandparents. The weather challenged us this year as it was raining almost every day!

Once again the team included Bruce Collins, Mark Aldridge and others from Britain. Morning Bible teachings concentrated on the book of Acts, and seminars and shorter ‘spots’ dealt with various themes from an ethical lifestyle and parenting to evangelism, studying the Bible and hearing God’s voice.

The evening celebrations were full of great worship, teaching and prayer ministry. Healing ministry was also available and many people wanted to be healed from various illnesses. A few people reported that they had been healed, including people with neck and back problems.

Children of different age groups had their own programme so the parents could enjoy the seminars and 'spots'. The youth stream gathered more young people than ever before: around 100. It took place in a brand new facility: a restaurant/pub. This has space for 1,000 people so now we are praying that it will be full next summer!

The site offered great possibilities for holidaying and enjoying fellowship – in spite of the rain! Some churches attended with large groups of people coming and experiencing the presence of God together. We had a wonderful time with God and with one another, facing new challenges and renewing our vision of the Kingdom of God.
