4-10 August 2007

In 2006 the Flames of Fire summer gathering at Builth Wells came under the management of New Wine Cymru (Wales), at fairly short notice. With a full year to plan the 2007 event, we were able to invite more speakers, including leaders from churches in Wales.

Attendance this year rose to just less than 1,000, and the speakers were hugely appreciated. Don Williams’ Bible expositions on the Kingdom of God were especially popular, and we saw the Holy Spirit doing wonderful things in the additional 15 minutes of ministry time that were added to these morning sessions.

Many physical healings were reported, and the Holy Spirit’s presence and power were very much in evidence in all the venues. This year a new venue was opened for 18-30 year-olds, with late-night coffee bar sessions that went down well.

The Lord’s presence (and the sun too!) shone on the event, and next year’s gathering looks set to see significant growth.

A few testimonies:

‘I’ve been really moved by my first time at this conference and can now honestly say that Jesus is alive and living here with us today.’

‘The awesome power of God was so evident in every aspect of Flames of Fire 2007 – more like tongues of fire!’

‘I am an older member of the Messengers (5-11s) team. After one strenuous session I pulled the ligaments in my knees. Both of them swelled up and I couldn’t walk. I had a lot of prayer for them to be healed. They were on fire! After we prayed I was asked to go for a short walk – my knees were better! I had more prayer, and after the third time I stood up and I could jump – and I can still jump now!’
