New Wine - Local churches changing nations

Leadership Conferences

The aim of our Leaders' Conferences are to support, equip and resource church leaders of any denomination in their local mission. Time together at a conference will be a mixture of plenary sessions, seminars, informal networking and time to relax with friends. There will be plenty of opportunities for worship, ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit and time to soak in the presence of God. Teaching tends to address practical issues of church life, church leadership and theological concerns. For more information on Leaders' Conferences across our international networks, please check the local websites to find out what is planned.

Teaching & Equipping Days

We offer a wide range of teaching and equipping days that could be run during a day or as part of a weekend conference, all of which include times of worship, ministry and teaching. Topics for these days cover most aspects of our values. Some examples of the types of teaching and equipping days include:

MISSION AND MINISTRY

  • The Kingdom of God The good news of the Kingdom of God, how the Lord Jesus proclaimed it and expected his church to do so too.
  • Developing a Healing Ministry Healing is an essential element of the Lord's ministry. This teaching enables Christians to minister healing in the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is ideal for those wishing to start or be part of a prayer ministry team.
  • Developing your Prophetic Gifting The Bible urges Christians to 'urgently desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy'. This teaching is to help all Christians to discover that they can use the gift of prophecy and to provide a pastoral framework in which their gifting can be cultivated in wise and beneficial ways.
  • Releasing the gifts of the Holy Spirit The Bible shows us that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available for believers and are essential tools to enable the church to minister as Jesus did. They are released in us to give us effective tools to accomplish the ministry of Jesus as Jesus did it.
  • Worship Developing worship in spirit and truth
  • Developing Youth and Children's ministries
  • Inner healing and growth into maturity
  • Deliverance ministry

LEADERSHIP

  • Cultivating a Kingdom-focused church
  • How can a leader build a church based on Kingdom principles in its life?
  • How are new leaders identified, equipped and released into effective leadership roles?
  • The inner life of a leader
  • Developing and building vision.

DISCIPLESHIP

  • Developing a secret life with God
  • Finding and living God's priorities for your life
  • How to grow in holiness
  • Discovering your calling and gifting for ministry
  • Sex and sexuality
  • Building a healthy marriage
  • Raising your family
  • Evangelism in the power of the Holy Spirit

Leaders' Retreats

New Wine Leaders' Retreats were established in 1990 and seek to provide real opportunities to experience something of the life of a renewed local church and to be exposed to different models of ministry. The aim of a retreat is to give participants a new vision of the Kingdom ministry of Jesus and the church. We hope that each person present will have a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit which will strengthen their identity as a child of God and renew their sense of call to a Kingdom ministry. By the end of the Leaders' Retreat, leaders will have had an opportunity to:

  • Grow in ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit
  • Receive teaching on a range of leadership topics
  • Receive regular prayer ministry and a time of personal prophetic ministry
  • Participate in small ‘sharing groups’, which encourage prayer amongst the participants and to hear the Lord's voice for their lives. They are primarily an experience of ministry, rather than a series of lectures, but they do cover input on a wide range of subjects from experienced church leaders.

There are two types of Leaders' Retreats: A (5 days - normally Monday to Friday) and B (normally 2 or 3 days) for people who have already attended Retreat A.
