One vital aspect of our Church Leaders Network is connecting you with other leaders in your local area. The Network offers two types of local gathering for leaders:
Local Network Groups
Local Network Groups meet approximately termly, gathering together leaders across an area. Meetings are open to all, and members of the Network are encouraged to bring their leadership teams, and other church leaders, for a taste of New Wine's ministry.
Key components of each meeting are:
- Inspiring worship
- High quality teaching which is relevant and applicable
- Transformational and empowering ministry
There are around 50 Local Network Groups in England. Members from each group may also meet in one or more Core Groups for mutual mentoring. See below for more information about these.

Each group may also organise training days, evening celebrations and social events, as desired by members of the group.
Core Groups

What is a Core Group?
Core Groups are the means by which church leaders in the New Wine Network can enter into a mutual mentoring relationship with other like-minded leaders.
How do they work?
Each Core Group consists of a small group of 5-6 leaders, meeting regularly to support one another in their personal and leadership development.
Accountability and transparency are key values, and a high level of commitment to the group is expected. Although each group will usually have a leader to facilitate the group, they are intended to function through mutual mentoring, with time devoted to personal input for each individual.
The New Wine 'Core Group' leaflet has been developed as a resource to support the Core Groups, containing a number of questions to encourage openness and discussion, such as:
- Walking with God: When did I last study the Scriptures for personal use, and what did God reveal?
- Developing Character: How am I still experiencing pleasure and fun?
- Growing in Leadership: What am I doing to identify and develop other leaders?
- Living out Kingdom values: Would I want to join my church if I were not the leader? If not, what do I need to bring about that change?
Who are they for?
Core Groups are primarily intended for those who are in primary leadership roles within the church (e.g. senior leader / pastor, associate minister / pastor, curates, etc) . Each Local Network Group will organise their Core Groups as appropriate e.g. by geography, ministry area or working environment.
Leaders who are interested in being part of a Core Group will be encouraged to join the Network and attend their Local Network Group to meet other leaders, before being invited to join a Core Group.
