WHO CAN APPLY?
Pretty much anyone! You don't need to have qualifications (apart from the Medical team) or a huge amount of experience. A heart to serve, bless others and have fun is qualification enough. Applicants do need to be 13 years or over (older for certain teams). Young team are aged from 13 to 16 years and adult team are aged 17 years and over.
Young Team
Young team can only serve for one week and must have a parent or guardian (aged 18 years or over) staying on site who will be responsible for them. Please ensure that the parent or guardian of any young team member completes the 'young team' section of the application form before it is returned to us. New Wine cannot process applications from young people without parental consent. Please ensure that your parent/guardian reads the responsibilities fully and knows and accepts what they are signing up to. Churches or groups must not ‘allocate’ a responsible adult to a young team member.
13-15 year-olds can serve on Gems, Pebbles, Groundbreakers and Rock Solid teams.
15 year-olds can add Boulder Gang to the above list; and 16 year-olds can also serve on the Club One and Thirst teams.
Medical Conditions
If you have a medical condition, please ensure you inform us in the 'your health' section of the application form. On site, you will need to inform the first aider attached to your team of your condition. It is also your responsibility to register with the first aid centre on site, so that they are aware of your requirements. If you are on young team, your responsible adult will need to accompany you to register.
Parental Responsibilities
If you have parental responsibilities on site for, or are in loco parentis of, children under 17 years, you will need to arrange for child-care cover if you are to serve on team. You will be unable to collect your children from their groups and supervise them whilst serving on a team. If this applies to you, please ensure you complete the relevant section on the application form.

HOW CAN I APPLY?
To apply for a team place, you need to first book in as a delegate, then select the 'applying for team' option. You will then be registered as attending and will not be charged for your place. You will receive an email from us with a link to an online application form. We must receive your team application form within 28 days of the initial booking, otherwise you will be charged the current fee rate for your booking.
Applying as soon possible helps the team leaders plan their schedules and programmes and also allows time to process a CRB disclosure. As soon as you decide you'd like to serve on team, please apply.
Child Protection
Make sure you've read our child protection policy, which is about safeguarding the welfare of children and young people at New Wine events and for your own protection. You'll need to sign to say you've read and will adhere to the terms on the Team Application Form.
References
In the references section of the application form, you'll need to supply the names of referees who New Wine can approach for written or verbal references or for feedback. One of these should be a church leader (preferably one who oversees your involvement in a ministry). If you have previously served on team, you only need to supply the name of one referee.
Please note: The team leader, team administrator and/or a parent or relative cannot act as a referee.
CRB Checks
Some teams will also require a criminal records bureau (CRB) check. For this part of the application, proof of your identity and where you live will be needed. New Wine will contact you once we've received your application to tell you how to apply for a CRB disclosure. Please make sure you've supplied an up-to-date photo and your first referee is a Minister of Religion who knows you. A CRB from New Wine lasts three years. Similiar CRBs issued within the last year may be accepted but we'll send you more details once you've applied. If you'd like more information about the disclosure system visit www.disclosure.gov.uk
Please note: A criminal record does not necessarily bar you from serving at New Wine. Each case will be assessed on an individual basis.
Photos
Each application needs to have an up-to-date photo attached, even if you've sent one to us in the past. Please put your name and postcode on the back. An application form without a photo attached will be delayed.
