Stewarding Team
Your day could involve anything from directing traffic, to setting up venues, to patrolling the site.
THE ROLE
No one day will be the same. It's one of the most hands-on roles with a lot of interaction with team and delegates. Smiling is essential!
The stewarding team ensures the smooth running of the event. You'll uphold onsite safety and security regulations and direct delegates around the site. Applicants are required to work as part of a team, under the direction of the chief steward, liaising closely with the control office and within health and safety and fire regulations. The role involves patrolling the whole site and taking action in line with the showground’s and New Wine's regulations. Stewards work in all the venues maintaining security and helping delegates.
STEWARDING TEAMS
Main stewarding team

This team patrols the site and ensures that the seminar venues are safe.
Control office
Based in the control office, this role mans radio traffic and coordinates what happens on site.
Night crew
This team ensures the safety of the site, venues and delegates throughout the night.
Team: 16 years and over can apply.
Hours: All stewards will work shifts of approx nine hours each day.
Day stewards work between 8am and midnight. Night stewards work between midnight and 8am. Applicants may indicate their preference for working ‘day’ or ‘night’ in the tick box options on the application form.
