Swine Flu

Swine Flu Information for Summer Conference Attendees

The NHS in Nottinghamshire and Somerset are advising all individuals attending festivals to be mindful of any flu symptoms that they may be suffering to minimise the risk of the spread of swine flu.

Symptoms are similar to those of regular seasonal influenza and include fever, lethargy, joint pains, lack of appetite and coughing. Some sufferers have also reported runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.

If you have any of these symptoms or have contact with a confirmed case of swine flu in the 7 days before the festival please contact NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 for advice before attending.

Please ensure everyone in your group is well enough to attend. We know it can be really disappointing to miss out, but sickness can spread rapidly on a campsite so please don’t bring anyone who is unwell, particularly if they have diarrhea and/or vomiting and/or a temperature of 38°C or higher.
