New Wine - Local churches changing nations

Life on Site

Our awesome God is at the centre of all we do at New Wine, so who knows what he will do in and through you during the week. The following will give you an idea of the week's programme and other on-site activities:

For Grown Ups

A Typical Day

  • 7.15am - Early morning Bible teaching
  • 9.15-10.30am - Main venue Bible teaching
  • 11.15am-12.30pm - Morning seminars
  • 2.30-3.30pm - Early afternoon seminars
  • 4-5pm - Late afternoon seminars
  • 7pm - Evening celebration

For the early birds, we start each day with a 7.15am worship and teaching slot. The main Bible teaching follows this, with a guest speaker leading a teaching series throughout the week. We gather at the end of the day for the evening celebration, where we’re joined by a different speaker each evening.

A Different Flavour

There is an additional venue (Venue 2 in Shepton Mallet and Impact in Newark) running in parallel to the main morning and evening sessions. The aim is to deliver a different style of teaching and worship, with inspirational speakers and some of the best up-and-coming worship leaders.

Throughout the Day

Interested in social justice, mission or spiritual growth? How about relationships, leadership or ethics? With around 100 seminars to choose from, led by some of the most experienced practitioners, there’ll definitely be something for you.

Worship

Worship is at the heart of New Wine. Each year we invite a range of different worship leaders and bands with the aim of inspiring worship that is passionate, intimate, culturally appropriate and facilitates encounter with God.

We have a dedicated venue for worship leaders to meet each other and get connected. Our Worship Leaders’ Network aims to gather and equip worship leaders both at our summer conferences and within different regions across the country throughout the rest of the year.

For not-so Grown Ups

0-11s

Throughout the week, our top-quality children’s groups deliver a combination of worship, teaching, games, craft and general mayhem. There’s a programme specifically tailored for every age group, from the tiniest tots to the coolest pre-teens.

12-18s

You’ll never be bored with a jam-packed programme of celebrations, workshops, games and sport. The youth cafés and live gigs from the hottest Christian bands provide an exciting end to each day.

Special Needs

Because we believe the gospel is for everyone, we want everyone to find a place where they can grow in faith and worship. Our Place is the venue for children, teenagers and young adults with special needs and their families. A dedicated programme includes worship, teaching, games and craft.

For ALL

Although there's a packed programme of events and teaching happening each, don't forget to make time to relax and unwind. There are plenty of cafés open during the day, plus a selection of Christian artists and bands performing well after the sun has set over the campsite. In addition, the onsite radio station, New Wine FM, broadcasts 24/7, bringing you all the main morning and evening sessions and a selection of seminars, as well as interviews, testimonies and music. It's a great resource for parents and babysitters, or anyone wanting to relax in their village while soaking up all that's happening around the rest of the site.

The Marketplace

This is the onsite shopping mall, providing all you need from cards, books, CDs, DVDs, clothing, art workshops and more. And when you need a sit down, you can head to one of the cafés to relax and refuel. In addition, the Marketplace is where you can connect with a number of different organisations that offer ways to put your faith into action, for example through mission projects, child sponsorship, sustainable development and social action.

A Day to Rest

Around the middle of the week at each conference (Tuesday for the London and South East and North and East conferences; Wednesday for the Central and South West conference) there is a reduced programme to give you time to rest, relax, catch up with friends or exlore the surrounding area. There is usually a family celebration or Communion service in the morning, but no seminars throughout the day, and no children’s groups until the evening. Many delegates choose to leave the site; others organise social events and activities within their camping village.
