Here's a few tips to help you survive life on site. More detailed information will be sent to you with your event tickets
Camping
Camping church groups together in villages provides a unique opportunity to build community. There's plenty of time for games, BBQs, catching up with old friends and making new ones. In addition, our onsite radio station, New Wine FM, broadcasts all main morning and evening sessions and a selection of seminars every day, as well as interviews, testimonies and music. It's a great resource for parents and babysitters, or anyone wanting to relax in their village while soaking up all that's happening around the rest of the site. Village Hosts are assigned to each camping area and are on-hand to look after you.
Your allocated camping village will be available online from around 1 July 2011. Please note that requests to camp with a particular church or group must be received by 27 April 2011; we cannot guarantee to meet all requests for different church groups to be camped together. If your tent or caravan is being set up for you, you must send details of your village to the owner. Units can be delivered from 12pm the day before delegate arrival day.
The campsite is an agricultural showground and although we work hard at improving it for New Wine delegates, it cannot provide all the facilities of a regular campsite. Basic shower and toilet facilities are provided within reach of all villages. There are no electric hook-up points for caravans, sockets for hairdryers, battery chargers etc.
There are supermarkets nearby and most delegates bring food supplies with them and self-cater; a freezer pack exchange service will be available. On-site facilities include a mini-market/shop, fast food vans and cafés serving a variety of snacks, cakes, hot and cold drinks.
