I went to the New Wine Summer Conference this year full of excitement and a tad trepidacious as I was on the prayer ministry team for the first time. It was amazing! To see God working in so many people's lives was a wonderful privilege. Since I got home I have had so much more confidence to pray for people - in the street and at work as well as at church. The speakers at Newark this year were excellent, and Eleanor Mumford in particular has really helped me to understand why some people are healed now and others are living in the 'not yet'. Thank you to everybody involved for arranging yet another brilliant week - and especially to the Lord for showering us with blessings the whole week long!

A young girl who has autism, who has not been able to attend church for the past year, came to the summer conference with her mother. She found it very difficult to be in Our Place, especially when we were worshipping God. She became very distressed and wanted to run from the building. We prayed that God's light would shine and that she would know His peace. We saw visible changes in her appearance as God's peace became more evident in her being. By the end of the week she was able to stay in the venue, join our circle for worship and participated in prayer activities. We are praying that she will be able to go to her own church, enabling the rest of her family to attend too.

This year I attended the New Wine summer conference for the second time, the first being last year. My wife died three years ago after a long battle with breast cancer.

Wednesday 4th was the third anniversary of Rosemarie's death. The main speaker in the evening was Eleanor Mumford. She spoke about healing. Rosemarie had many prayers for her to be healed. I personally know of people who have been prayed for and have been healed of their illnesss. So for me the whole subject of healing is difficult. The talk for me went along way to explaining why not everyone who is prayed for is healed. Eleanor talked about 'The Kingdom come...The Kingdom coming. The now.. and the not yet. She used an analogy to explain a bit more. When the D Day landings took place victory against Germany was assured but the final victory was not until VE Day, eleven months later. In the time in between there were thousand of casualties. I found this analogy very helpful.

I was unable to attend NW LSE this year at the last minute owing to debilitating vertigo attacks, which the consultant thinks were a form of migraine. One of my friends went up for prayer for me on the last evening, and no sooner had the prayer finished than a call came from the platform, I believe from Anne Coles, asking for anyone with vertigo. I haven't had an attack since. PRAISE THE LORD!

This year was my first time at New Wine. My wife and I attended the London & South East week. I found the morning and evening worship pretty daunting. Since November 2009 I have gone back to my old job of painting and decorating. Due to the nature of the work and using my right hand to grip a brush for long periods of time it has been very sore and aching. I was unable to close my hand without pain and could not get it into a fist.

During the week I was thinking about going forward for healing but could not bring myself to do so. On the Thursday evening my wife and I tried to see some comedy entertainment in one of the venues but it was too full so we ended up in another venue having a coffee. An elderly couple asked if they could join us. We had a nice chat and I explained my dilemma about being too shy to go for healing. They said they were not healers but would be happy to pray for me. They both laid hands on my wrist (so did my wife) and they said a lovely prayer. I had my eyes closed and was praying too but was aware that nothing seemed to happen. My hand did not get warm. I didn’t feel the holy spirit. It was just a nice moment. Two of our fellow campers came and joined us and we all chatted and I soon forgot about the healing. Silently thinking to myself that nothing would change. The following morning I awoke early as usual and went about my morning duties. As I was doing the washing up from our first cup of tea I thought I’d flex my hand. It was something I often did to help the aching. To my amazement I could close my hand into a fist without pain. It was slightly sore but much less so than previously. My hand has been better for many weeks now. It still aches but that is the nature of my work. Praise be to God. He has been very kind to me in the past year that I have become a Christian and I love him very much.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this year's conference!

My husband, daughter, her husband, our two grandchildren & I were at New Wine LSE. We have been several times before and have always had a great time but this year was different. On our return I wrote about it in my journal, that the week was amazing, which indeed it was, but as I re-read these words I realised that the week was more than this, it was, in the words of a Robin Mark song, 'A place of commanded blessing where brethren in unity dwell a place where anointing oil was flowing where we were called to be one.'

Karen, Alistair and Charles Washbourn

For some years we had talked about going to New Wine but had never booked. However, this year God had decided the Washbourn Family should be going to camp at New Wine – Central and South East at the Bath and West Showground at Shepton Mallet. What an amazing week.

How are we so certain that God wanted us to be there? We read an article in the April edition of Oxford Diocesian Magazine The Door and saw a competition to win a family ticket to the New Wine Summer Conference. We duly sent off an entry not expecting for one moment we would win!

Sally Carter, St Columba, Fareham

I came to the New Wine Summer Conference in 2008 for the first time (alone). My husband had just been made redundant and I was suffering with long-term depression due to infertility issues. I went up to receive prayer ministry as often as I could and found the whole week emotional and overwhelming, but fulfilling too. Within 3 days of returning home my husband was offered a job, which he loves and is still doing, and less than 2 months later I fell pregnant with our daughter - Evie Ann - who we have brought back this year to say thank you. Praise the Lord!

Just wanted to encourage you further with another exciting story! I prayed healing for another friend on Monday evening - she has really low lung capacity so every time she is under the weather which is often she struggles to breath and has to carry around an oxygen tank. She has been on antibiotics for 3 weeks and on Monday she was in so much pain in her back as her lungs are full of fluid. I have prayed for her before but not specifically for healing. I prayed twice rebuking the disease and claiming her for Jesus. The 2nd time she yelped and grabbed her back and felt something move. I spoke to her yesterday morning and she'd been up since 3am feeling fresher than she had in years. 'Like a miracle' she said. She still had a temperature but the pain had gone! God is good! She went off shopping early yesterday morning much to her husband’s amazement as she'd been struggling to to walk the day before. She had to go and get special food for today as it’s the start of Ramadam. They are Muslims. In fact her husband was our GP for years. Praise God for he is mighty to Save! All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved!
