Pat Jane, St. George's Ashtead
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this year's conference!
My husband, daughter, her husband, our two grandchildren & I were at New Wine LSE. We have been several times before and have always had a great time but this year was different. On our return I wrote about it in my journal, that the week was amazing, which indeed it was, but as I re-read these words I realised that the week was more than this, it was, in the words of a Robin Mark song, 'A place of commanded blessing where brethren in unity dwell a place where anointing oil was flowing where we were called to be one.'
The song goes on but the emphasis was unity in the Spirit even more so than previous years we all felt. Others who were there the 2nd week had similar stories on their return.
We loved the message from John Coles, I am halfway through Steve Addison's book which John recommended in his seminar, I'm relishing the wonderful words, oh pure joy we are not alone in feeling like this! 60 of our young people were at Soul Survivor and several are at Momentum this week.
Since returning home our church continues to go from strength to strength as we each play our part (ours is Besom, which gives us so many opportunities to share the love of Jesus in words as well as actions).
We are now thinking out of the four walls since being back and we are seeking God asking Him if there is more that He wants us to be involved in. We excitedly await His leading in this. We praise God for His continuing work within us all.
