Cam, Clapham

During worship at the New Wine summer conference in 2011 I had a strong sense that I should go to the New Wine Radio office. I didn’t even know where it was, but I left the worship session and went to look for it.

I found it in a hut near the showground. The people there were busy and asked me to sit in the waiting area. I sat there, feeling a bit unsure of why I was there, and after five minutes a lady came out and said 'I've got the information you need right here, just let me write it down for you.' I said nothing, she then wrote the name of a website, something like ‘Start your own radio station.com’, so I took the paper and stayed where I was.

Ian Bartlett, Aylesbury Vineyard

I would like to share with you how our Lord loves us very much.

In my previous testimony in 2010 I explained how I was an ex-gambler, alcoholic, drug taker and thief. I gave my life to the Lord at the age of 46. I currently go out on the streets of Aylesbury with the Healing on the Streets team, and we have seen the Lord heal, and transform lives.

I just wanted to share with you my experience at New Wine 2011. It was my first time at New Wine and it was just what I needed after a year of self-abuse. I had turned my back on God and suffered with an eating disorder which I found hard to escape from. On a Wednesday evening, during the usual worship, I felt like Jesus crashed through all those barriers I had built up and ripped open my heart. All my worst memories over the past year flooded my mind and while everyone was singing, I was screaming in agony. As much as it hurt, a massive wave of relief swept through me as I heard the words 'I never left you. I never left you. We are in this together.'

I realised I was never alone. Jesus had never taken a back seat and watched me abuse myself from a distance - he had been sat right next to me.. holding my hand. while all these memories flashed through my mind, I saw Jesus take my hand and then he pulled me to him and embraced me.

We have just returned from the annual New Wine Conference at the Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, which we attended with other member of St Paul’s . While we were there, my husband George received a miracle of healing from God.

Following a triple heart bypass over 11 years ago, and not being expected to live, George has suffered from congestive heart failure and peripheral vascular disease. This has become progressively debilitating and, according to our vascular surgeon, inoperable in George’s case which meant that he was in constant pain and unable to walk or stand for any length of time. The pain in his legs took the form of severe cramps that came as soon as he made any attempt to walk or stand. Although George has borne this stoically, he had become more and more disabled by this incurable condition and was particularly low just before we went away to New Wine.

Adam Lacey, Aston Parish Church, Birmingham

Adam Lacey artworkI'm not the best at writing testimony stuff like this but i will give it a try, lol... My family and i along with our church attended new wine N&E this year and had a great week. Being as we have 4 kids juggling groups and worship time at the Impact venue was a bit tough for us but we tried to go as much as possible, all week i did my usual thing of waiting for a specific word for me in the call up to prayer, but i didnt feel that it came so i decided on the last night i would just go up anyway and say right God enough waiting lets have it!

Anyway sure enough at the time for prayer i went up and asked the gentleman who came to pray for a simple prayer, that i would be re-focused fully towards God and his purpose for me. (im a graphic designer and during the new wine week my wife raised concerns that some of my work was seemingly influenced by other things rather than God, until she addressed this i hadnt noticed but as soon as she did it was like a thunderbolt struck me and i saw what she meant)

We have been to New Wine for many years whilst crying out to God for a family. 4 years ago we came just after having IVF - which failed. 3 years ago we came totally broken as all treatments had failed as there was to be no more. Last year we came for the day with our new family of 3 adopted siblings and our 4 year-old asked Jesus to be his friend. They loved it so much we booked for this year as soon as we could! this year we have had a lovely week and the adoption is to become final today august 5th as a judge makes the official stamp on something we knew already. GOD IS GOOD.

We have just got home from New Wine LSE today and had a wonderful week, thanks to everyone for all their hard work. I'm sending this email to keep my side of a bargain I made with the Lord a couple of months ago...

Last year at LSE after one evening talk in Venue 1, we were asked to go forward if we hadn't led anyone to the Lord for a while and wanted to do so again. As I went forward and received prayer, I realised the person I should be leading to the Lord is my Dad. This would be no easy task as my relationship with my Dad is not easy and he's an atheist. I did have one or two conversations with him over the past year, but no progress was made.

Darren Kunar, Kairos Church, Harrogate

www imageIn November 2007, Darren felt god calling Hannah and him to an online project to enable the local church to be accessible to a web generation. This is their story:

2007 - We had been planning this project for a year and a half: designing the logo and website; working on marketing and business strategies and praying lots! However, we came to a place where we could go no further unless we made a substantial financial investment to launch the company and develop the concepts.
