Pioneer Minister - Kairos, Harrogate | Diocese of Leeds
Kairos is a network church, operating under a BMO across Harrogate, whose mission is to connect with the non-churched and de-churched to show the love of God, proclaim the Gospel and to grow disciples. It’s now in its 8th year and so these are crucial times. We are looking for a priest with appropriate experience to build on what has already been achieved, as well as to inspire a fresh vision for this pioneer ministry. You will work with the Trustees and Vision Leadership Team, to provide motivational leadership, to energise our current ministries and introduce new possibilities and ways of being church. Kairos equips and empowers disciples for ministry and mission. It’s therefore essential that the new Pioneer Minister loves to see people flourish and ministries released. You need to be collegial, working with lay, ordained and ecumenical colleagues, be able to manage paid staff and volunteers; and have strong verbal and IT communication skills. This post would suit an inspirational leader, with a Biblically rooted spirituality, committed to risk-taking and developing fresh models of church. You will be supported by an Administrator, Children’s and Youth Worker, the Trustees, the Vision Team, the BMO visitor, Bishop Chris Edmondson and competent laity. You will be a member of Harrogate Deanery Chapter and be part of a network of pioneer ministers in the Diocese. The Diocese is committed to your wellbeing and development.
