PARISH OPERATIONS MANAGER | PARISH OF HERNE HILL

We are seeking to recruit someone with strong management, administrative and financial experience and skills who will be responsible for the smooth running of our ministry and properties and who will play a key role in good communication and governance. He/she will also be involved in supporting the development of new areas of ministry and mission in the parish.
With two churches, three diverse congregations, and great plans for new activities, we need someone with strong communication skills across all media and a high level of attention to detail. He/she will love managing projects and people, including an Administrative Assistant.

PARISH OF HERNE HILL
Herne Hill is a multicultural, socially mixed area between Brixton, Camberwell and Dulwich. The Parish is diverse, broadly evangelical and comprises the churches of St Paul’s and St Saviour’s with combined average Sunday congregations of approximately 240, and a wide range of ministries and activities which need operational, management and administrative support. The Parish team includes the Vicar, 3 part time Assistant Ministers, a full time Youth and Children’s Worker, Parish Operations Manager, a part time Administrative Assistant and 2 part time cleaners. There are also 4 Readers and over 100 people who have volunteer roles in the churches. Parish buildings consist of St Paul’s Church and adjacent hall, St Saviour’s Church (which functions as both church and hall), a flat over St Saviour’s Church and a Parish house. There are close links with the Parish primary School, St Saviour’s.
