Student Ambassador | Eastleigh Parish Church

This is a really exciting job for someone who wants to see students aged 16+ come to faith in Jesus Christ.

Every day, more than 7,000 students aged 16 upwards study at colleges in this parish. But how many of them know Jesus and are a part of His Church?

Your role will be to work alongside existing Christian students to help them share their faith with their fellow students. You'll then help and encourage these new Christians to find a church to become a part of near to where they live (most students travel in to Eastleigh from the outlying towns/villages). You'll be based at Eastleigh Parish Church, and will be a part of our ministry team, but the students who come to faith through your ministry will be encouraged to connect with a church local to their home (if they live outside of central Eastleigh).

This is a new post, and we have funding for 3 days per week for 3 years. We hope/expect this to grow to a full-time post during this period.

This is not your average youth ministry post. This is a job for someone who is comfortable breaking new ground, making new contacts, and being 'out there' rather than 'in here'.

Eastleigh Parish Church
Eastleigh Parish Church (EPC) is part of the Anglican Church. We're part of the Diocese of Winchester, in the Church of England. Things that we love at EPC include; the Bible (all of it!); seeing people come to faith in Jesus; watching the Holy Spirit work in and through people; trying new things; having fun; eating together; encouraging people; and great times of worship. We have 3 Sunday congregations. 2 of them are very traditional, whilst the other one is very (very) informal. We have seen God bring new people to all 3 congregations in recent years.
