Student Youth Worker (part-time) | Bookham Baptist Church

Bookham Baptist Church is looking to appoint a part-time Student Youth Worker who is wanting to study for a 3 year BA (Hons) in Theology and Youth Ministry at St Mellitus College.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are so excited about seeing God at work in the young people in our community. We regularly have 25+ young people at our Friday night youth group and each year we take 50+ young people to a christian youth camp.
We are looking for someone who wants to study part time while also working with young people, particularly mentoring and discipling young people so that they are able to confidently live for Jesus in our contemporary world.

You would be part of a very experienced youth team and managed by a highly skilled and experienced ministry team.

Starting Date : 1 September 2019
Hours : > 20 hours per week; 42 weeks a year (mainly term time)
Salary : A competitive package with support towards finding accommodation if required.

There is a genuine Occupational Requirement that the person be a committed Christian (Equality Act 2010), take an active and prayerful role in the ministry of the Church and be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
