Ministry Assistant Connect MES Winchester | Winchester Diocese Board of Finance

We're looking to recruit young adults (aged 18-30) who want to explore what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and are excited about the possibility of exploring their calling and vocation, through a year volunteering as Ministry Assistants placed in churches across the diocese of Winchester linked to Local Training Hubs and other participants.

The year is completely free with accommodation, food, expenses, retreats, conferences and training all provided for as well as a monthly allowance. Connect MES can offer you practical experience in parish ministry, church leadership, community engagement, pioneer mission and fresh expressions of church. Our vision is to connect young adults with the mission of God across the diocese of Winchester, equipping them to live the mission of Jesus, to be disciple making disciples; connected to bear fruit.

Starting in September 2020, you will be offered full board, a monthly living allowance, teaching in Christian theology and missional leadership, practical training and enrichment opportunities in the form of retreats and conferences e.g. HTB Leadership Conference, a retreat in a friary; as well as supervision and support.

Winchester is a diocese seeking to live the mission of Jesus by
Making disciples, Re-imagining church, Being agents of social transformation ,Being mutually generous.
Across the diocese there are new Resource Churches, church plants, pioneering projects and Fresh Expressions which need a pipeline of leaders.

We welcome applications from all, however we are aware that women and people of ethnic minorities are currently under-represented in the Church of England, so we particularly encourage applications from these groups. We also particularly encourage applications from people interested in exploring pioneer ministry. See our website for more details. www.winchester.anglican.org/mes
