Vicar of Greyfriars, Reading
Greyfriars is a large and vibrant church in the centre of Reading, a growing town with a diverse population in the Diocese of Oxford. We are strongly evangelical and gently charismatic; a gathered church with a heart for the needs of our rapidly changing parish. Following a recent large building project, we are looking for a leader to take us forward in God’s vision, discipling current and future church members in knowing and serving Jesus and loving our neighbours.
You will be:
· Deeply rooted in Scripture, prayer, the work of Jesus and his Spirit.
· Passionate about introducing people to the living Jesus.
· A gifted preacher and teacher with a traditional evangelical understanding of the authority of Scripture.
· An experienced leader, able to lead a team, delegate and grow leaders and shape a healthy church culture.
· A pastor who values all members of the church community, loving the marginalised and enabling ministry to those in need.
· Collaborative and cooperative, listening effectively and enabling others to reach their full potential.
