Description of Job
We are looking for an energetic and gifted person to come and lead our ministry and outreach work with children and families in Spalding. This includes our new and growing All Age services and our toddler group Little Steps. The post will involve leading and developing our church- based ministry and our outreach work in the local school and community. At present this is centred on primary school-aged children but we hope in time that this will grow to include youth work. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing church in Spalding. We are open to the post being either full or part time and would welcome a conversation about this with potential applicants.

Key areas of responsibility include:
• Developing, training and growing our team of volunteers.
• Developing and growing our Sunday afternoon All Age services.
• Leading Collective Worship at St John’s Primary School and developing links there
• Starting Children’s Church at our traditional 10am service
• Overseeing the development of the Little Steps toddler group.

Key skills include:
• Ability to teach the Bible to children and young people.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to grow and train a team of volunteers.
• Strong people skills to connect and build relationships with children of all ages and their parents/carers.
