Description of Job
We are seeking a new youth pastor full of vision, imagination and enthusiasm, who hears God well and can inspire others. The successful applicant will be able to evidence a mature faith and live a committed life as a disciple of Jesus shaped by the authority of scripture and open to the work, gifts and guiding of the Holy Spirit. Key to this role is someone with skills in nurturing discipleship, building community and who has experience or passion in outreach. You will play a key role on our leadership team, as well as inspiring and leading the youth volunteer team. We are looking for a good team player, who is organised and creative, ready for a challenge with good communication and teaching skills who can re-imagine and re-inspire our youth ministry. As a church our call is to renew faith, restore hope and live out the radical love of Jesus. In the youth ministry these ideas are currently reflected in our hope that we raise a generation of deep, consistent adventurers. This role could be adapted for someone who is studying Youth Work/Ministry and could be part time initially. It could also be an ideal first time appointment. Equally it lends itself to a more experienced candidate. We will shape the role around the strengths of the successful candidate.
