Description of Job
As Durham Diocese develops its “Cultivate Strategy”, with a goal of planting 100 new Christian communities by 2029, the need to embed a robust leadership training pipeline for lay and ordained leaders has been identified. As a Diocese we have already seen some success in the planting of new Christian communities throughout our region, and now are developing pathways to train a new generation of missional leaders. We are partnering with the national church’s ‘Myriad’ vision of 10,000 churches in the next ten years, and also locally with Cranmer Hall & Lindisfarne College of Theology to imagine new forms of church planting. This role will work as part of a team developing and presenting the Cultivate pathway of leadership development, providing an inspirational and practical training programme for lay people and clergy to enable planting.

The Cultivate Coach will develop and present growth, leadership and capacity-building programmes which equip people to plant new Christian communities. They will work with churches to develop bespoke plans and programmes for development of leaders and teams. They will also be responsible for the provision of a variety of workshops, learning communities and individual coaching, preparing Plant Leaders and their teams to launch and grow new Christian communities.
