Description of Job
As a growing evangelical Anglican parish in the New Forest, with close links to our two local primary schools, we long to reach out with the love of God more widely into our communities and to see God’s kingdom grow. Our children and youth ministry forms a key part of this vision, and we are seeking to recruit a Children and Youth Worker. The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate, oversee and develop ministry among children and young people within the church community here at All Saints, Hordle and St. Andrews, Tiptoe. We are looking for someone to encourage the children and youth of the church to know Jesus for themselves.
We believe God is leading us to appoint a person who is:
* Friendly, cheerful, positive and self driven, with great communication skills, experienced in connecting with children and young people
*Passionate about nurturing the Christian faith of children and youth in our community, with a developing ability to teach the Bible to young people in different contexts
*Able to work as a key part of our ministry team, taking responsibility for leading, supporting and expanding a team of existing volunteers, and to develop and deliver a programme of children’s and youth activities
* A committed Christian, who maintains a purposeful spiritual life of prayer and listening to God
*A flourishing church family environment with friendly supportive congregations of all age groups
*The chance to be part of a supportive ministry team committed to your ongoing development and spiritual growth
*Salary between £25,000 and £28,000 depending on experience
*Access to office space/admin support
*A full time position, but part time may be considered
