If you are looking for a safe, predictable and boring church then you have come to the wrong place. But if you are up for an adventure, if you are not scared to think outside the box, or think your ideas might be just on the crazy side of crazy then we would love to talk.
In short - love Jesus - love kids - want to dream big…
Of our 100 kids that attend our church regularly, statistics suggest that five will still be in church in their early 20’s. This is a statistic we want to contend against with every fibre in our being.
Maybe you have worked in kids church spaces before, perhaps it has bored you to tears, maybe you long to be able to shape a different narrative. Our hearts desire is for kids to meet with and be transformed by the person of Jesus and we recognise that this won’t be done by playing it safe. We are prepared to rip up the rule book and chase after whatever needs to be done to deliver the best kids church.
Our church DNA is built around “how do we take Jesus seriously but not take ourselves seriously” and this translates as being a place where we long for people to meet Jesus but are looking to unshackle ourselves from the religious baggage we find ourselves immersed in.
We intentionally don’t want to be over-prescriptive about what the job entails, rather we would love to meet with people excited by what we have said and see if we can dare to dream and begin to build what kids work in Renewal could look like. As a church we are passionate about taking risks for the sake of God's kingdom so don't need the successful candidate to meet all the typical person requirements of a church role.
So whether you have never worked for a church or worked there all your life but are excited to work with children and passionate about what this space could be, get in touch.
