The New Wine Training Hub in Sheffield is jointly based at STC Sheffield and Network Church Sheffield (NCS). Both are large Charismatic Evangelical Anglican and Baptist Churches with a vision to be a church ‘For The City’, based on Jeremiah 29:4-7, to seek the peace and prosperity of the city we call home, to put our roots down and to love and bless our city. One of the ways we believe we can love our city well is by planting churches and communities across the city of Sheffield making healthy disciples who transform community.

Teaching (8hrs/wk)

On Thursdays, we have an exciting training programme filled with teaching and mission. You will be taught by a variety of experienced people from a range of backgrounds and contexts.

Placement (18 – 24 hrs/wk)

Depending on your placement church, internships can look very different and the areas that you serve in, and the responsibilities that you hold will differ between each placement.

Internships can be offered in a number of areas including youth work, schools work, young adults, children’s work, worship, media, tech, outreach, administration and hospitality.

NWDY is a fantastic opportunity to both serve the placement church and be invested in through this time.

Cost

Accommodation, bills and New Wine DY fees are paid for by the Sheffield Hub. DY students will also receive a small weekly allowance for living costs.

Accommodation

DY students will be allocated accommodation in shared housing, with rent and bills covered. Alternatively, students may find their own accommodation if preferred at their own cost.
