Description of Job

Northchurch Baptist Church (NBC) is looking to appoint a Youth Worker to oversee the work among young people as part of their overall vision to bring the largest number of people into the deepest place of love with God.

The role-holder will equip, train and encourage young people (11 – 18 years of age) to find faith in God for themselves, to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to be a part of the church today. They will be expected to lead the young people in a relevant, contemporary, authentic manner, and to communicate well with the parents and carers of young people in the church and community.

While not essential, experience in overseeing volunteers and competency in both administration and the use of technology would be desirable.

The successful applicant will have a heart for young people and for sharing the good news of Jesus. They will model a godly example of Christian discipleship and will be able to work as part of a small team, motivated to facilitate the growth of God’s kingdom in Northchurch and the surrounding areas.
