St Hugh’s Church Administration Manager

Hours: 9:15am – 2.15pm Monday to Friday (flexible)

Pay: £14,300 (subject to experience) Workplace Pension

25 days holiday (pro-rata) plus 8 days bank holidays.

Accountable to: Vicar and Church Wardens

St Hugh’s is an Anglican, evangelical, charismatic church set in the parish of Lewsey, Luton. There is a deep desire within the congregation to follow Christ and reach out with the love of Christ to our community, with the word of God being fundamental to everything we do.

 Person Specification

 To help us fulfil our aims, we are looking for an Admin Manager to work closely with our Vicar, Curate and other members of staff and PCC to fulfil our vision through engagement, prayer and interaction with church members, voluntary groups and community networks.

You should have a deep Christian faith; great interpersonal skills and excellent administrative abilities to oversee the various elements of this role. Your people skills will enable you to smooth ruffles, encourage ability and support the vulnerable in our midst.

We would consider a job share for this post. Or if the right person comes with other pastoral or ministry gifts, we would consider increasing this role to a full time one. We are also prayerfully and actively seeking candidates from ethnic minority backgrounds.
