Children and Families Pastor

We’re a 2 year-old church plant with a caring, creative and entrepreneurial heart. The vision of The Well is “Worshipping Jesus and Building Community in North Swindon”.

Swindon is a growing town, with a population of over 230,000 people. The Well is an initiative of the Diocese of Bristol in partnership with Pattern Church to reach and bless the people of North Swindon.

The children and families pastor oversees the vision for the church’s ministry to children and families. To nurture a place of ‘home’ for children aged 0-11 where they are secure, heard, discipled and comfortable to invite friends,

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion children’s ministry
• Bring focal leadership to the team of dedicated volunteers
• Support the culture of all children’s work to help it look like our Kids Manifesto
• Develop and grow the children’s work, adapting it alongside the growth of the church
• Help the kids team to thrive by caring for the existing team and recruiting more team members (including Safer Recruitment practices)
• Support and encourage children to grow in their faith, relationship with God, sense of calling, knowledge of the bible, awareness and capacity to live a Spirit-led life, and to become active members of their local church family.
