Operations Manager
(with a focus on events and projects)

As a committed Christian*, you will lead prayer meetings, bible teaching and pastor your team. You’ll lead the way in servant leadership, modelling humility and discipleship in the way of Jesus Christ for the staff team and ChristChurch Fulham community. You will be expected to consider ChristChurch Fulham as your home church. This is a senior role in the church requiring strategic thinking, leadership and spiritual discernment in order to execute the strategic vision of the Vicar and Leadership Team.
Great buildings (4) and spaces are key and you will oversee the safe and effective operation of the estate, facilities, events, finances and budget, HR and payroll, volunteers, staff and projects that serve ChristChurch Fulham’s Christian ministry.
You’ll make events happen inside and outside of the church and oversee a multitude of exciting projects and initiatives including building projects.
IT, telecoms, utility and other commercial contracts come under your remit and you’ll ensure that that staff are recruited, employed and paid correctly; volunteers are DBS checked and trained to Church of England standards; health and safety is paramount and you will liaise with the church safeguarding officer to ensure the highest standards are in place.
You will manage GDPR compliance, policies, risk assessments, as well as reports, audits and administration for the Diocese of London, Parochial Church Council (PCC) and Leadership Team.
Reporting to the Vicar, you will line-manage two staff: Site Manager and Administrator (Communications & Marketing). Your key contacts are the Church Treasurer for finances, budget, audit and annual church meeting; the Diocese of London for audits, reports and administration for weddings, funerals and baptisms; the pastoral staff team (worship, youth, children, Vicar); the PCC; Church Wardens and Leadership Team.

- You will be expected to consider ChristChurch Fulham as your home church, and to fully accept and lead others in line with the Christian values, beliefs and vision of the church as defined by the Vicar. You may be required to work on a Sunday.
*There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post to be a filled by a practicing Christian as defined in the Equality Act 2010.

Who should apply?
If you have experience in managing staff, events, delivering effective financial, HR, and facilities operations, are a believer in Jesus Christ able to lead, pastor, pray and teach, apply. You’ll need the usual Microsoft Office skills, be highly organised and communicate effectively to get the job done.

Salary:£40,000 per annum
