Description of Job

Combined Families Outreach Worker/Church Administrator Role

We are excited about this opportunity at New Day Church to employ a new Families Outreach Worker/Church Administrator. This is a unique opportunity to work with us to develop our internal and outward looking families and children’s work whilst fulfilling the role of church administrator alongside this. We have combined these part-time roles to create a single full-time position requiring a unique skill set whilst guaranteeing a permanent and stable full-time ministry role. We estimate initially the role will require a 50/50 time split in terms of hours as a guide.

We are looking for someone with a passion for evangelism and discipleship of the next generation with strong administrative skills who is servant hearted, willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done and also able to see possibilities the Lord may be presenting in our current context. We want to build on our current ministry to the younger generations and develop it further so that it will grow and flourish in the future. This will be a permanent post and we envisage over time the families outreach role developing into a full-time position.

New Day Church, based in Lostock Hall, is a church for all of South Ribble, a vibrant and developing region just south of Preston. You will be expected to relocate (where necessary) and be a fully functioning member of New Day Church, not just an employee. Along with our Elders you will set the discipleship rhythm and vision for our families and next generation ministries along with developing families/next generation outreach to the local community and beyond. You will also seamlessly coordinate the office and general administration on behalf of the church and leadership team.

You will be involved in both teaching and modelling what it means to be a Christ follower in our contemporary context.

Initial Salary: £25,500 with employer pension provision (NEST).

Closing Date: 12th August 2024. Early applications welcomed for prompt consideration.
