We are seeking a gifted Youth Minister (part-time) who will lead, envision and develop our work amongst high school aged young people at Holy Trinity. We are encouraged by the signs of life in this area of our church family, and are convinced that God is calling us to make ministry amongst young people a central priority in our church life. To this end, we are determined to support and release our next Youth Minister to enable growth and transformation amongst this part of our church family.
As we have prayed and reflected on this role, and as we look with faith to the next five years, the following priorities have emerged:
- Deepening faith: where young people meet with Jesus, discover what it means to follow him today, and grow in passion and confidence to share their faith with their friends.
- Numerical and spiritual growth: for a growth in Christian discipleship amongst our young people, and growth in number as more young people encounter Jesus.
- New horizons: we want to help and support the successful candidate in managing change and praying for fresh direction as the youth ministry grows and develops under their leadership.
- Building Team: investing in the development of our existing team members, and recruiting new leaders.
- A safe space: for young people to be free to ask difficult questions and grapple with their doubts in a safe environment.
Our new Youth Minister will lead, oversee and develop our ministry (on Sundays and midweek) with young people (Year 7 to 13).
