Cafe Manager

Café Manager (full time) – Salary £32,000-£36,000, depending on experience

The Café at Christ Church Woking is no ordinary café. It was the first independent coffee shop in Woking and over the last 30 years it has become known as a place of welcome and compassion. Following extensive refurbishment, we look forward to reopening this space to serve the people of Woking.

Could you be our new café manager? You will be passionate about relaunching and then running The Café well as part of the weekday outreach of Christ Church Woking.

We are looking for someone,

• Who knows how to manage, develop, and be a player in a close-knit café team
• Who, ideally, has experience of working in a café or similar hospitalities environment
• Who understands and enjoys the challenges of running a customer-focused cafe; can develop and implement a successful business strategy and can manage budgets
• Who has great communication and people skills, and can keep calm under pressure
• Who is flexible, resourceful, and decisive
• Who will seek to create and maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere for both staff and customers, and can signpost appropriately for pastoral support if the need arises
• Who shares our faith, and embraces and celebrates our wider mission
