We are looking for an energetic and motivated leader with excellent organisational and people skills and relevant experience of working with children, families and young people. It is key that your passion for this role stems from your own love for Jesus and a desire to see children, families and young people develop their own personal relationship with Jesus.
We are looking for someone who is innovative and creative, as the successful candidate will have opportunity to help shape and develop the existing children’s, families and youth ministry across the Southern Mowbray Deanery.
The successful applicant will be mission hearted and passionate about discipleship, a strong communicator and able to build, lead and empower a team of volunteers. You will be responsible for the oversight and the running of children, families and youth ministry activities at St Oswald’s, and the development and support of children, families and youth ministry in the other churches of the Southern Mowbray Deanery.
We are committed to your development as well as to the development of this work. You will be part of prayerful, supportive and collaborative teams in the parish and wider deanery. We will offer appropriate training, supervision and seek to invest in you both personally and professionally.
There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be a practising, baptised Christian, to be sympathetic with the creeds of the Church of England, and to agree with the vision, values, and ministry strategy of St Oswald’s PCC.
