Description of Job

We’re looking for a Buildings and Facilities Coordinator to join our Operations team. This is a new role following reorganisation, and the successful candidate will be responsible for coordination of the care and maintenance of the church buildings, together with the management of bookings and buildings use. They will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming and suitable environment is created and maintained for volunteers, employees and all who attend or visit the church or other properties.

The successful candidate will be/have:

  •   A committed Christian who is prayerful and open to the renewing work of the Holy Spirit and one who holds to biblically orthodox church beliefs and teaching in matters of faith and conduct.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A can do, flexible and positive attitude to work`
  • Good people skills and confidence to communicate with a wide variety of people.
  • An understanding of Health and safety compliance
  • Self-starter, ability to manage own time and prioritise tasks.
  • Practically minded.
  • Good working knowledge of Office 365 and understanding of IT.
  • Ability to supervise other staff/volunteers.
  • Task oriented with completer finisher skills.
  • Good general health as role involves some lifting, moving tables and chairs etc.
