UNITED 23 ADVANCE INFORMATION – TEAM

Firstly, a great big THANK YOU for being on Team this summer – we can’t wait to welcome you to United 23!

You will need to check out the delegate Advance Information (available here for United A and here for United B), for details on tickets, arrival times, camping village etc.

Below is some extra, important information for Team.

TICKETS & ONLINE TRAINING

To equip you to serve and to ensure that United is a safe place to be, we have some compulsory online training that all team must complete before you arrive. Please look out for this in an email.

On completion of the online training, your team ticket will then be emailed to you. Keep this safe, as you will need it to enter the site and also each time you visit the team catering venue. (Your wristband will not allow you access to Catering, as in previous years.)

Kids, Luminosity, Accessible & Medical teams will need to print their tickets as this doubles as a name badge to be worn on a lanyard (optional for other teams).

If you need any help downloading your tickets, please email us at info@new-wine.org.

CATERING

For full-time volunteers, team catering will be available in the Catering Venue in The Clive Emson Building from Delegate Arrivals Day at the following times:

Catering Times
07:00-08:45 – Breakfast
12:00-14:00 – Lunch
16:30-17:45 – Dinner

Your Team Leader will have details of food options for Team arrival day.
Part-Time team places do not include catering.

WRISTBANDS & T-SHIRTS

• Your team tickets will be scanned either on your mobile or a printed copy to provide access to the Catering Venue. Your wristband alone will not give you access to catering.
• Team wristbands and t-shirts will be provided by your Team Leader at your venue during registration. Your Team Leader will let you know when and where to register.
• All team must wear their wristband at all times, and team t-shirts when serving.
Kids, Luminosity, Accessible & Medical will also need to wear their printed ticket, which doubles as a name badge on a lanyard.

T-SHIRT SPONSORS

Our friends and partners at IJM are sponsoring this year’s Team T-shirts. Here’s an overview of what they do:

12 million children are trapped in slavery globally today. That’s the equivalent of every child in England and Wales. It shouldn’t be like this – and it doesn’t have to be. Inspired by their Christian faith, International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global organisation partnering with police and authorities, survivors, churches and supporters to stop slavery and violence around the world. IJM has seen what’s possible when people pray and stand together against slavery. Together with local authorities and partners, IJM has seen slavery decrease by up to 86% in places where they’ve worked. IJM works with governments and partners in over 29 regions across 17 countries. They help law enforcement to bring people to safety from slavery and violence and support survivors with trauma-informed care; bring perpetrators of abuse to justice; help strengthen justice systems; and protect people from ever experiencing slavery and violence in the first place. As child trafficking survivor and anti-trafficking advocate Godwin says: “We must all work hard to put an end to it.”

If you’d like to know more and join the movement to end slavery, visit IJMUK.org/NewWine or speak to someone at the IJM stand. You can even find IJM on their coffee bike around the site!

TEAMS LOUNGE

Our Teams Lounge (next to the Catering Venue) is a space just for our wonderful volunteers, somewhere you can grab a cup of tea or coffee and have a little break. This space will be open all day from 8am until 7pm. Please be sure to keep all your belongings with you in the Teams Lounge as we will be unable to keep these secure.

TEAM COMMISSIONING SERVICE

On team arrival day we want to take time to honour and pray for our wonderful volunteers. This service will take place at 7pm in the Impact Venue. This will be a fantastic time for all team to come together for worship, communion, and to be commissioned by the New Wine Leadership.

TEAM CELEBRATION SERVICE

As a thank you for all your hard work throughout the week, we will have our usual Team Celebration from 2.30-3.30pm in Impact on Saturday 29 July (Week A) and Friday 4 August (Week B). Come celebrate with us!

If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@new-wine.org

We can’t wait to see you in Maidstone!

With every blessing,
The New Wine Team
