Resource Team

The Resource venue is the shopping and resourcing hub of United, attracting a large audience, raising awareness of and support for more than 70 different charities and organisations.

We need a friendly and welcoming team to meet and serve the thousands of delegates that visit Resource throughout the event. You’ll need to understand what New Wine is all about and be ready and willing to answer general queries and to pitch in if needed elsewhere in Resource.

The Resource venue is open from 10.30am – 5pm and then 8.30-10.30pm. Team members will work on shift and tasks include:

  • Set up & pack down
  • Assisting the Resource Manager
  • Managing the phone charging station
  • Keeping the venue tidy
  • Using the Resource map to direct delegates
  • Answering Resource venue as well as general New Wine queries
  • Ensuring the security of the Resource venue
  • Stewarding/ushering for the Showcase venue

As with most teams, you’ll get a free ticket to the event (except for the £25 fee that covers admin and all meals); you will need to provide your own accommodation (either on or off site).

Expectation for team members

Those who volunteer for New Wine teams at United do so based on their Christian profession and way of life. As a team volunteer, your conduct on site is expected to be consistent with New Wine’s ethos and understanding of the teaching of the New Testament.

Part of New Wine’s ethos is our adherence to the Evangelical Alliance (EA) basis of faith and in submitting your team application you are acknowledging your acceptance to do the same.
