Pray for churches as they share the light of Jesus

‘When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”’ (John 8:12)

At New Wine our vision is to see local churches changing nations. Our Regional Development Managers Carol, Simon, Justin and Morag spend time coming alongside church leaders, connecting them with others in their regions, praying for them and supporting them. Morag told us recently that she was shocked how many church leaders told her they couldn’t remember the last time anyone had prayed for them.

Please join us as we:

Pray for local church leaders, many of whom now lead churches that look very different to how they did before the start of the pandemic. Pray that God would speak to them and give them vision for where he’s leading them in this new season. If you’re a local church leader, make sure you’re connected with others and not trying to do the job alone! Find out more about our network here.

Pray for local churches trying to rebuild volunteer teams now that ministries are starting up again e.g. kids and youth teams, hospitality teams etc. Is there a ministry that you could step into at your church? Ask God to show you where he wants to use your gifts and your willingness to serve others for the sake of the Kingdom.

Pray for local churches as they seek to be a place of healing and hope for people who’ve been affected by the pandemic: the grieving, those dealing with anxiety or those struggling financially. Ask God to open doors to reach people who are currently outside the church and need to hear the Good News of Jesus. Is there a door that he’s calling you to walk through?

Thank you for joining us in prayer.
