This new role, funded by the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, will release our Rector to forge a new partnership between St Nic’s, St Christopher’s Sneinton, and St Stephen’s, Sneinton.

What you’ll do 

  • After a period of induction, you’ll oversee the church’s mission and ministry, including its preaching, evangelism, and discipleship programmes. 
  • You’ll gradually assume day-to-day oversight of St Nic’s, its excellent staff team (ordained and lay), lay leaders and volunteers. 
  • You’ll work closely with the Rector in strategic leadership, and you will represent St Nic’s in the new partnership. 

We’re looking for someone who…

  • Has substantial ordained ministry experience.
  • Has a collaborative and empowering style of ministry.
  • Has excellent communication skills (including preaching)
  • Is mission-oriented, generously evangelical, charismatic, kingdom-focused and committed to social justice. 
  • Has a lively and robust spiritual life rooted in prayer and engagement with scripture. 
  • Is committed to the diocesan vision and church growth
