What are you doing next year?

We are looking to invest in young people longing to see a move of God among their generation.

The Christ Church Ministry Year is for 18-25 year olds who want to experience church ministry in a diverse area of North Edgbaston, Birmingham. It is a year of growing leadership skills, receiving theological input and supported character development all centred around Jesus.

What’s it all about?

This is a unique opportunity to experience church ministry in an area of Birmingham where nearly half the local residents are under the age of 25. We want to ensure they hear the hope of Jesus. This year will give you experience of the day to day ministry at Christ Church including recruiting teams, developing systems, running events, creating resources and diverse leadership opportunities.

In addition we offer the opportunity to participate in Beginning Theology, an online course to equip your theological reflection on your practice in a local church context.

Application Process

The 2024/25 Ministry Year starts in September 2024 and ends in July 2025

  1. Read the information pack below, which contains details about the year and what you can expect from it.
  2. Fill out the application form.
  3. Applicants will then be invited to an interview - either in person or over Zoom if you live outside Birmingham
  4. If successful, we’ll discuss what might be the best fit in terms of ministry placement and other next steps
